Eilah Mae “Punkin” Bulanek, passed away at home July 26, 2012. She was born September 5, 1958 in Houston, Texas to Tommy and Sally Thrailkill. Preceded in death by her Daddy, Tommy Thrailkill; her Mammaw, Eilah Mae Pool; and her Pappaw, C. J. “Boots” Pool. She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Joe Bulanek, Jr.; sons, Charles James “Sonny” Thrailkill and Lance Bulanek; mother, Sally Thrailkill; brother, Jimmy Thrailkill; sister-in-law, Cindy Thrailkill; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, father and mother-in-law, Jimmie and Jogean Bulanek and many special friends.
Punkin changed her career path as Financial Manager for DHL after caring for her grandmother to become a Registered Nurse.
She was a member of Durkee United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Past Matron Klein Chapter OES #1141. She was also a member of the Descendants of the Alamo, Rainbow Girls Faith Assembly #109 and a member of Tomball Shrine Club. She excelled scholastically in all phases of her education and was responsible for organizing new clubs for students.
Travel was important to her. Her yearly trips to Colorado in September when Elks came down, were precious moments. Her enthusiasm for travel came to her at the age of 8 years. She loved the wildlife, the mountains, the redwoods, canyons and all the natural beauty. Her amazing talent for photography was captured in this love.
Punkin, you will always be in our hearts and we will love you forever.
Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012, at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2012, Earthman Resthaven Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospital.
