Edward Richard Hensley

Richard passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at North Cypress Medical Center, after one month of failing health. Richard was born on October 11, 1954 in Burlington, North Carolina to Edward Luther Hensley and Billie Haithcock Hensley, both deceased. Richard was employed with NCI Building Systems as a field service manager for 20 years. He never met a stranger and was always smiling. Richard's favorite saying was always, "Tell me something good or exciting" and he said that often, especially to those that he loved. Richard loved trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas, but his real love was for Myrtle Beach, S. Carolina, where he and Debbie were planning to move in June of this year.

Richard was married to Mary Ratliff Hensley who preceded him in death.

Survivors left to cherish Richard's memories are his girlfriend, Debbie Davis, of the home, brother, Ronnie Hensley-deceased (Bonnie) of Conway, S.C., sister, Patricia Collins (Darell) of Graham, N.C., step daughter, Heather Lemmer (Clayton) of Tomball, TX, stepson James Ratliff (Michelle) of Houston, TX, nephew, Brian Collins of Graham N.C., niece Brandy Barker of Yanceyville, N.C., and five grandchildren, Chance, Kadence, and Emery Ratliff and Carson and Sierra Lemmer, as well as a large number of friends and acquaintances. And his most favorite restaurant to eat at in Burlington, N.C. was Zack's Hot Dogs.
