Eduardo Javier Chavez

SPC Eduardo Javier Chavez, 21, of Houston, Texas, passed on May 29, 2023. Eddie was born on September 26, 2001. Graduated from Army Basic Training in 2019 and Oakridge High School in 2020. He had recently completed training for Telecomm Tower Technician. He currently served with the Texas Army National Guard as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic.

He enjoyed hanging out with family and friends. Especially his best friend, brother-from-another-mother, AJ. He was a car enthusiast, mainly Mopar. He was also an awesome pinball player.

He was preceded in death by Sergio Hernandez, Jr [Grandfather], Rubio Cisneros, Sr[Grandfather], Irma Hernandez[Aunt] and Gerardo Hernandez[Brother]

He is survived by Alicia Hernandez[Mother], Edward Chavez[Father], Peter Selever [Stepfather], Elyria Hernandez and Elissa Selever[Sisters], Mary Chavez[Grandmother], Irma Hernandez [Grandmother], Gabriel Chavez[Uncle], Rose Chavez[Aunt], Hilda Hernandez[Aunt], Sergio Hernandez III[Uncle], Tammy Hernandez[Aunt], Ismael Hernandez[Uncle]. As well as by many many cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at Forest Park Grand Chapel. 6900 Lawndale St Houston TX 77023

The viewing will be Thursday June 22rd from 5pm - 9pm. Memorial service will be Friday 23rd at noon with the burial service at Forest Park Cemetery at 1pm.
