Eddie was born August 21st, 1954 in Mayfield, Kentucky to Edward Austin and Mary LaVenia (Harris) Sanderfer. He was raised in Grand Blanc, Michigan with his younger brother and sister. He attended Grand Blanc High School and graduated in 1972. During his senior year of high school he began working at Burger King. Eddie worked his way up to Regional Manager of all Burger Kings in Genesee County.
He married his first wife in 1974 and brought four children into the world - Christina, Raymond, Candida, David. In 1980, Eddie and his brother in law Jaime came to Texas in search of a better job opportunity and the following year, he moved his family to Stafford, Texas. Later, his first marriage ended in divorce.
In 1988 he met Della Mae Jacobs, his life partner of 33 years, and together they have proudly raised a blended family of 7 children.
Eddie started his career as a wrecker driver in 1983 and in 2000 he became the proud owner of Eddie’s Wrecker Service in Stafford, Texas. After 18 years of operation he sold his business and retired.
Eddie was a very consistent and dedicated man to his family and work. He enjoyed backyard barbecues, playing football with his kids, taking family trips to the beach, and most of all he loved taking his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to Monster Jam.
Eddie is preceded in death by his father, Edward, brother, Michael, grandson, Javier, and great-granddaughter Azealia.
He is survived by his wife Della Jacobs, his four children Christina, Raymond (Joanne), Candida (Jason), David (Jayme) and three stepchildren Justin Cal, Reginald Jacobs, Jacquelyn Melton (Cameron). Mother, Mary, sister, Marilynn, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
