Dorothy Concetta Fava, of Houston, TX, was welcomed into the embrace of Our Lord, peacefully on July 21, 2024. Dorothy was the daughter of Joseph Caracciolo and Mary Caracciolo (nee Marino) born on February 5, 1933, in Pittsburgh, PA.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Caracciolo (Pittsburgh, PA), and her sister Philomena Caracciolo (Amenta) (Pittsburgh, PA). Dorothy is survived by her brother, Joseph Caracciolo (Houston, TX).
On November 26, 1955, Dorothy married Nicholas Peter Fava. They celebrated sixty-eight years of marriage. They were blessed with a son, Rosario Fava, and a daughter, Annamarie Fava (Ancy). As well they had three grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. They all referred to her affectionately as Nani.
Dorothy will be cherished and missed by countless beloved family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy and a passionate spirit of love for them. She had a devoted love for Our Lord and was a person steeped in her Catholic faith. Her actions conveyed this to everyone as she always put others first.
Cooking was among her many talents and it gave her the greatest joy to take care of her family and friends, which meant that no one left her table hungry.
Dorothy was deeply loved & admired by all who had the pleasure to meet and know her. She will be remembered with love, happiness, respect, and admiration in our hearts and minds forever.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in her honor at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Houston, TX on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 11:00 am.
