Dorothy Marie Baker

On May 10, 1935 in Natchez, Louisiana Dorothy Marie Baker was born t0 Thumpert and Willie Mae Tennarse. She was the second child of eight children. Dorothy was known to many as Mary. Mary departed this life and went on to be with the Lord on May 16, 2021.

Sister Mary attended St, Matthew School in Natchez, LA. She relocated to Houston, Texas and worked many years in the nursing field. With the compassion for helping others, Mary extending the love to her family and friends

Mary is preceded in death by her father, Thumpert Tennarse; mother, Willie Mae Tennarse; four (4) sisters, Louvenia Tennarse Rachal, Dorothy Lee Rachal, Gwendolyn Joyce Tennarse and Bettie Jo Tennarse; and two (2) brothers, Leroy Tennarse and Jesse Mayo Tennarse, Sr.

Dorothy Marie “Mary” leaves to cherish her memories; her two (2) daughters, Beverly Ann Ross and Shelia Lucille Ross both of Houston, TX; two (2) grandsons, Steven Ray Ross (LaShunta) and Kelvin Andre Ross both of Houston, TX; two (2) great granddaughters, Jazzlyn Ross of Madison, WI and Karyme Perez of Tomball, TX;- one (1) brother, Horace Tennarse (Cordelia) of Houston, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friend.
