Donald Sinclair Slater

Donald moved to the United States in 1958, where he first lived in Brooklyn, NY. In 1959 he married Hilda Martin, and they raised a family in Copiague, NY and Clark, NJ. They would later retire in Barnegat, NJ, and Donald later moved to Houston, TX. Donald retired from Carter-Wallace as a packaging mechanic in 1999.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Hilda Martin Slater; parents, Jessie Whyte Slater & Robert Slater; siblings, Henrietta, James Blair, and Annabella. Donald is survived by his sons, Glenn of State College, PA, Alan of Houston, TX, and David and wife Yesenia of Austin, TX; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Donald will be laid to rest with Hilda at Ocean County Memorial Park in Waretown, NJ. A date and time for a memorial service will be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in Donald’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
