She received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Kashmere Garden Church of Christ. She attended Kashmere High School, where she met her high school sweetheart the late Gary Earl Williams. She later went on to Graduate from Phillis Wheatley High school in 1976. After high school she attended a community college and obtained a degree in Word Processing.
Diann and Gary married in 1977, together they have 3 loving children and were able to celebrate 45 years of marriage together. Not only was she a devoted mother to her 3 children, but she was also considered “Momma Williams” to many other.
Diann was a social butterfly. She was always so kind spirited and selfless. Diann was passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren. She wasn’t the average grandmother; Diann went above and beyond to make sure her grandchildren wanted for nothing. She loved hosting family gatherings and was always the life of the party. Before falling ill, she traveled many places with her late husband. They loved taking cruises.
In her spare time, she enjoyed the company of grandchildren, and sneaking away to the casino with her sister on the weekends.
Diann started her career working for Fleming Foods in Houston Tx. While working there she built many relationships that turned in to lifelong friendships.
She then went on to work for Exxon Mobile in Baytown, Tx where she dedicated 13 years of hard work and service.
She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of dedication that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Preceding her in death: Her Husband Gary Earl Williams, Parents, Ardell Simon Gray and L.C. Gray. Brother Lenard Charles Gray, along with grandparents and Aunts and Uncles.
Diann is survived by: Her Children, Derrick Williams (Elisa), Demond Williams (Ashley), Jasmine Thompson (Christian). Siblings, Kathleen Martin, Tommie Dale Gray, Michelle Gray. Grandchildren, Demond Williams Jr, Destin Williams, Dawson Williams, Jeremiah Thompson, Cali Thompson, Devin Williams, Davion Green, Danyal Green, Robert Tobar; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
