Diane was born in Houston, Texas to Dillard and Alma Hutto on January 12, 1951. She met the love of her life, Arthur Ray Henderson, as childhood friends and married him on June 7, 1969, a week after her graduation from Katy High School.
Diane was a loyal and devoted employee of Katy Independent School District for 31 years, before her retirement in 2012. She began her career with Katy ISD in 1981 at Addicks Elementary School, under Principal, Maurice Wolfe, for which the school was later renamed. Diane moved on to the Education Support Complex where she worked in many capacities and made lifelong friends.
Anyone who knew Diane, saw her passion for her children and grandchildren. She immersed herself in their lives, volunteering as Tee-ball Mom, Dance Mom at Carol Ehler Dance School, PTA Mom, Homeroom Mom, and Boy Scout Den Mother. Her devotion continued with her dedication to her grandchildren’s activities, serving as an officer on the Morton Ranch High School Theatre Arts Booster Club, to being a part of their everyday lives as chauffer, nurse, playmate, “Laundry Fairy” and in general, a second mom!
Diane is survived by her husband of 53 years, Arthur Ray Henderson. Children Kimberly and Scott Specksgoor, AJ Henderson and Casie Tucker. Grandchildren Collin Henderson, Shelby, Sarah and Tyler Specksgoor, Kappy and Kooper Tucker. Great-grandchild Carter. Mother Alma Hutto. Brothers and sisters John Hutto, Wayne and Cathy Hutto, Fred Hutto, Jan Hutto, Larry and Bonnie Hutto, Debra LeBlanc. Nieces and nephews Kasey and Michael Diehl and their children Aden, Karsen, Brenna, Liam, Ronan, and Beckett. Brittaney and Dusty Johnston and their children Harper and Avery, Randel and Brittany Hutto and their child Logan. Dalton Hutto. Kelly and Jerrol Brown and their children Abigayle and Hannah Marie. Cory LeBlanc and Dani Ward. Kylie LeBlanc. Kristen and Jodie Love.
She is preceded in death by her father, Dillard Owen Hutto, her parents by love and marriage Arthur George Henderson and Anna Freida Henderson, and her brother-in-law Jason Love.
The Family will host a Celebration of Life Open House on Saturday, March 26, 2022, 1:00pm-5:00pm at the Henderson Residence, 2914 Katy Town Lane, Katy Texas 77493.
In lieu of flowers, it would honor Diane to donate in her name to a community or school club or activity for children.
