Diane Konieczny, 57, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Diane was born January 23, 1960 in Houston, Texas. She was a loving wife of nearly twenty nine years and a perfect mother to her two boys. She retired after thirty years of teaching many grade levels for the Aldine School District, but she would tell you that five years of retirement served her better. She met many great people over her years of teaching, which became our family’s lifelong friends. Diane was and active parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She loved the Houston Texans and the Houston Astros, even when they didn’t love her back. She loved to gamble, cuddle her fur babies Sadie and Gizmo, have a great time, making people laugh and smile, and most importantly she loved helping others. She was always a phone call away and would do anything for her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jo Wagner and Father in law Florian Konieczny. Diane is survived by her husband, her first grade sweetheart, Patrick Konieczny; baby boys, Kyle and Adam Konieczny; father, Phillip Wagner; brother, Randall Wagner; her mother-in-law Dorothy Konieczny; brother-in-law Gerald Konieczny and wife Nora Konieczny; nieces Shelby Wagner and Grace Konieczny. The family will receive family and friends, on Monday June 12, 2017 from 5pm-8pm at the Heights Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7pm later that evening. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, 2017, 11am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston, Texas 77018. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
