Deborah (Debbie) Fosdick Glauser

With sadness and joy we tenderly place our precious Debbie in God's loving arms. Debbie Fosdick Glauser, was born June 23, 1954 and died gently August 19, 2015. With the compassionate care of her loving husband, Robert, Debbie fought bravely against ALS. Her kind heart, loving spirit and generosity will stay with each of us. She was a shooting star that touched the lives of many with her faith, courage, and humor. Debbie had a special love of caring for young children and the elderly. She volunteered for His Grace Foundation helping children who were fighting cancer. She worked with HERO, an organization which helps the elderly with transportation and errands. Debbie also directed Camp Rainbow a summer camp for children with Diabetes. Her greatest joy was caring for the needs of her family especially the little ones —Katie and Luke Randall and Ellie Saathoff.

Throughout her battle with ALS, Debbie was an example of the love, kindness, courage, and faith in God that should always be a part of our daily lives. Debbie is the life-long love of her husband Robert, daughter Kellie Glauser, son Jay Glauser and his wife Catherine and grandson Dylan. Debbie was treasured by her family— her father, John Jay Fosdick, who has been waiting for her in heaven, her mother Barbara Von Zuben Fosdick; her siblings and their spouses — John and Janet Fosdick, Jan and Billy Doherty, Cathy and Joe Cleary; her father and mother in-law George and Betty Glauser, brother and sister in-laws George Glauser and Gail Glauser Serrant and husband Mike, and Greg Glauser, her aunt, Patty Hill and her godmother, Kitty Greaney; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Debbie died with joyful faith in Christ surrounded by her family.

The family wishes to thank all the wonderful staff at Methodist ALS Clinic especially Dr. Erica Simpson for her compassion and loving care of all her patients especially our sweet Debbie. Debbie and Robert would like to thank Monsignor Frank Rossi for his spiritual counseling, his blessings and prayers during Debbie's journey with ALS. Debbie was especially grateful for the tender, loving care of her friend Maria Yanez. Debbie's family also wishes to thank Houston Hospice for making Debbie's ascension to heaven such a loving and peaceful experience. Thanks to all those who made contributions to Team Debbie for MDA/ALS research.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church 1801 Sage Road. Reception to follow in Parish Life Center. A private family burial will be held at Glenwood Cemetery.
