PASTOR Dean A. Garner of Kingwood, TX, departed this life on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 9:57 p.m. He fought a good fight and is rejoicing with the Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor Dean was born in California September 23, 1947 and raised in Houston, TX. Pastor Garner was loved by all who knew him because of his pastor’s heart and his desire to see others strong in their own faith. He married Renee, the love of his life, in 1968 and began preaching when he was 19 pastoring and preaching the Word of Faith about Jesus for 45 years. Pastor Dean and Renee founded and pastored Faith Heritage Church in Corpus Christi, TX since 1978. He was a wonderful teacher of the Word of God - always preaching a gospel of faith, favor and authority. Pastor was raised by his mother Ruthie and step father Bill Dearman. He is survived by his brother; Linn Garner and sisters; Christy Keeton and Joy Boles and numerous nieces and nephews. Pastor and his wife, Renee, were married for 43 years. He is survived by their loving children, Dean Allen Jr.(Laura), Matthew Linn (Jennifer) and Abigail Amanda, and 5 grandchildren: Morgan, Braden, Karis, Ethan and Hudson.
