David Charles Diller, 48 of Corpus Christi, TX passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 22, 2018. He was born January 4, 1970 in Flint, Michigan, the son of T.C. Diller and Patricia (Patti) Ann Goode Diller.
In 1984 David moved to Houston and became an immediate fan of the Texans and Astros Teams while holding a special place in his sports-minded heart for the Detroit Lions and Tigers but most of all a dedicated life-long fan to the University of Michigan teams.David graduated from Westfield High School in Houston with the class of 1988, where he played football as a defensive lineman.
David’s passion for creative cooking served him well with several years working at Patti’s Place on Stuebner Airline in Houston and then twelve years at Resa’s Steakhouse on Gladebrook in Houston. In 2006 he became employed with Cardinal Catering of Alvin, TX. With Cardinal, he served as Chef Manager on several ships over the next eleven years. One of his most recent trips was two months in Puerto Rico serving the workers assisting after the hurricane of 2017. Of all his travels, Puerto Rico was a favorite and afforded him many opportunities to explore his enjoyment of photography in his off hours.
In 2006 he moved to Corpus Christi with Keri Jackson, formerly of Houston. Keri and David shared a nine year relationship and traveled to San Antonio and Austin exploring the history and photographing the missions of Texas.
David is preceded in death by his father, T.C. Diller and his maternal grandparents, Del and Elmina Goode of Michigan.
David is survived by his mother, Patricia Diller of Spring and fiance’, Keri Jackson of Corpus Christi. He leaves behind so many friends and associates and will be missed by all.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Brookside Funeral Home-Champions located at 3410 FM 1960 West Houston, TX 77068 (281-397-0800). Burial will be in Flint, Michigan.
