David Alan Dickey

26 January, 1949 – 4 August, 2021
IN THE CARE OF

Chapel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park

David Alan Dickey, 72, was born on January 26, 1949 in Sioux City, Iowa. His family relocated to Houston in 1964 where he attended Lee High School and was a varsity athlete, excelling in both basketball and golf. After graduating from Lee in 1967, David went on to attend Stephen F. Austin college. Professionally, David built a lifelong career in insurance sales beginning with Colonial Life & Accident where he spent 25 years as an sales representative and later as a District Manager.

David was a dedicated father to his two children, Staci and David. He shared with them and others his fun loving spirit for life. As an avid sports enthusiast, David enjoyed spending time on the golf course or attending sporting events of all kinds, especially those starring his grandsons. David also loved good music, dancing, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

With a smile that could light up any room, David lived life to the fullest until the very end of his valiant cancer battle that he faced with dignity. Surrounded by his devoted children and family, David peacefully departed this life and was taken home to be with the Lord.

David is preceded in death by his parents, David and Dorothy Dickey. He is survived by his brother Tom, wife Linda Sue and their children; former wife Linda Dickey and their children Staci Pierce, husband Jason and grandsons Ashton and Parker, and David, wife Courtney and granddaughter Collins; Partner Kathy, her sons and their families.

In lieu of sending flowers, we are asking our family and friends to make a donation to Colon Cancer research at MD Anderson.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.chapelofeternalpeace.com for the Dickey family.
