With a heavy heart we share the loss of our beloved David. He departed after 34 years and is now at peace with his grandfathers, Robert and Clifton; his paternal grandmother, Lucy; and his aunt, Shirley.
David’s fun loving, gentle nature, sweet smile, and offbeat humor will be greatly missed. We will continue to cheer for his LSU Tigers and Dallas Cowboys.
David enjoyed building and learning about computers and studying all things IT. He spent hours driving anything with wheels from dirt bikes to four wheelers, go carts and pickup trucks. One of his pastimes was fine tuning his shooting skills. He would brush up on his history knowledge by traveling the world, reading, and experiencing museum exhibits. David was passionate about scuba diving and enjoyed it every time he got the chance. He enjoyed playing games and sharing stories. He loved listening to music and taking leisurely drives.
The next time you are driving in your car, turn up your favorite song and think of David.
David is survived by his parents, Decie & Dan and Jimmy & Darlene; his devoted sister, Liz and her husband Chris; and the newest family addition, his niece, Lydia Dawnn; his maternal grandmother, Mary; his aunt, Wendy and her partner Val; his sister, Hope and her husband Dennis; his nephew, Braden; his nieces, Brooklyn and Briley; his stepsister, Shena and her husband Jonathan; nieces, Brynlei, Juliet, and Jessa; nephew, Brextyn; his stepbrother, Tyler; his stepbrother, Keith and his fiancé Jenni; his nephew, Karsyn; and his stepsister, Eliza.
Donations in David’s memory may be sent to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, David’s favorite place to gain new knowledge, inspired by his grandfather. https://www.hmns.org/checkout/donate
