In memory of Danny:

When recalling the memories of childhood, Danny and the entire Gee family will forever be linked to many of the happiest moments. They were there to share their time and generosity whether it be for carpools, meals, and especially the joy of fun.  Afterschool games of football and baseball were always something to look forward to whether it be by watching or participation.  Playing with Danny and his brothers not only taught me about teamwork and competition, but also striving to get better at whatever you do. They say you learn more from losing than winning so I thank the cool and gentle Danny Gee for helping me earn a doctorate in having fun and smiling a bit more in my lifetime.


God Bless you Danny, and to all his family I want you to know how much I enjoyed his kindness and professionalism as we worked together for so many years.  The first time I met Danny was inviting him to lunch one day to talk about working with me, he seemed interested, even excited about the prospects.  I listened to him and his explanation of what was important to him, his family and interests, and the impression he gave me of the genuinely good person he is - let me offer him the job on the spot.  He came to work shortly after that lunch and we enjoyed many good years of working together - I treasure my friendship and opportunity to work with Danny, and so many good people like him.  God Bless you all as we will miss him, and I will cherish our memories until that day when perhaps we meet up again to solve new challenges.

Thank you for your kind words when we worked together at Oceaneering. You have always been such a true gentleman and a sweet man.  I will never forget the times you used to get us all excited for football squares every fall. It breaks my heart to see you go but I know we will see each other again my friend. May God give your family strength for this great loss. To the best husband, father,  son, sibling and best friend anyone wish to have. Sweet dreams my friend.

To the Gee family,

My condolences on the loss of Danny.   Growing up with Pauline from elementary through high school, I got to know the family.  When I first moved from Houston, I would go and visit Pauline at the grocery store and see the family when I was in town.  I happened to be in Houston when Danny’s mom passed away.  I was able to attend Mrs. Gee’s funeral to pay my respects and was able to reconnect with Pauline, Danny, Ronald, Donald, Susie and JoAnn.  My sincere prayers are with you all and your families during this difficult time.

I was saddened to hear of Dannie's passing.  I worked with him at Oceaneering.  He was always kind and considerate and will be truly missed.

My sincere condolences to you, Linda, Garrett and Grant. I was so shocked to hear of his passing.  He was a very kind, happy and positive man, no matter what was going on in his life.  Danny and I worked together and met him first at NL Industries as a Designer in the ‘70’s, and lastly at Oceaneering, Inc.

Wow... Totally unexpected... Kind, warm and caring, is how I remember Danny.  Always, devoted to his family and supported Garrett and Grant growing up through athletics and academics. Easy going and relaxed in gatherings, but always takes the time to ask how life is going with you... Lots of “grit” as he battled through progressive limitations that never got in the way of his responsibilities and love for his family. To his immediate survivors; Linda, Garrett and Grant - Prayers for strength and peace during this time of loss. No words can express the sadness felt over Danny’s passing. Our sincere condolences to Linda and the boys along with the families grieving the immeasurable loss suffered. Danny and I were co-workers at the top subsea controls company around in the 90’s, first connected at a company picnic softball game. Shared a huge interest in sports and gambling. Enjoyed many hours of fun at poker games initiated by Danny with co-workers and his relatives. Moved monies back and forth in his football pools (squares) which increased the enthusiasm when watching NFL games. But mostly I remember Danny as the guy who always had time for everyone and liked swapping stories. Danny, it was a great privilege to call you my friend and may you rest in peace.
