Hello to all…

A year ago I shared my condolences. A year ago I shared that Dan was a great person. Dan was a leader at CASA. Dan was one of the CASA managers that trained me. He provided the necessary guidance about how to write court documents, what should be said on paper and what can be said in the courtroom. He set the tone on behavior …ethics etc. 

I haven’t forgotten Dan and I won’t. He was one of the good guys. An honorable man he was.

I met Mata at Camp Hope, Seemed like I knew each of the immediate family members personally.  Mata and I were room mates and stayed up talking about everything from relationships to cracking jokes. I don’t remember ever cry laughing
as much as I did with Mata. An amazing Marine and friend.

What a great guy.  I knew Dan through the CASA office in Medford Oregon.  Always open for talk, including about hot sauce!  He is greatly missed.  See you in heaven, Dan.

I met Daniel at Camp Hope.  He was always smiling and had a great attitude.  We were both assigned to Alpha Bay at Camp Hope.

I wish I could've gotten to know him more.  I left Camp Hope in November and didn't find out about his passing until Feb.

Just wanted to express my deepest condolences.  I pray you heal in time.  He will definitely be missed.

I was an Army Soldier but we both served the same cause.  Semper Fi and until we meet again.

Mata was like a son to me.  Helped my boy James Gamet in the Marines,  lived with me for a while and was Familia.   I will miss him deeply.   He'll  be bringing Sexy to Heaven.  He used to always say I'm Bringing sext back.  That was his song.  😆    Love you son.  Pops

I'm so very sorry for your loss.. I had the pleasure of working with Dan at sears. He was always there with a smile .  He will be missed as someone who always left an impact on anyone who had the gift of meeting him.  We have lost a son,father husband ,friend but heaven has gained an angel. May be rest in peace.

To Dan’s family – 

I extend my deepest condolences at this time of loss. I share in your grief however I know I cannot experience this loss in the same way. I am so sorry you must go through this. 

Dan played an important role in my life as a CASA. He was my Case Manager. He provided guidance, he imparted his knowledge and how to approach the delicate trauma -ridden Kiddo’s we represent. I will carry his way forward …this will not be lost. 

He was an honorable man. He had a code. He was a Marine and proud of it. He carried his head high. He was serious and at the same time had a great sense of humor. 

I only wish I would have had the opportunity to get to know him better than I did.

I did have the pleasure of meeting Logan at a CASA event earlier this year. What an outstanding and polite young man. It was a true pleasure to meet him. I shared this with Dan that day. 

My heart goes out to all. I will forever remember Dan with every single action I take as a CASA and a person in my community.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know Dan through CASA. I always looked forward to seeing him at events and appreciated the heart space he seemed to open for me as a new trainee a year ago. Tons of nothing but respect. I’ll never forget him, and felt that way for a long time. I wish I would have told him that.
