October 12, 1995 changed our lives. Damien was a loving and caring person who would give his last to the people that he loved, and always wanted to be the person who brought everybody together. In his early years, his biggest boasts were being a good big brother, and proclaiming that he “could one day be
President’’ in a program at Hohl Elementary.
Damien began his career of service coaching his friends in football and basketball, and mentoring kids around the neighborhood through the Boys and Girls club. After graduating from Westfield High school, he spoke at a Career Day program telling them how important grades were before joining the 198th Infantry
Brigade in the U.S. Army.
Everyone knows how proud he was over the years to be a big brother, a football player, Sophia’s owner, and later, going to school to become a welder. That love was surpassed when he was blessed with his biggest dream since he was a kid, having a family of his own. Being Kyrin and London’s father put the
biggest smile on his face and joy in his heart. His legacy of military service will open doors and provide opportunities to his beautiful children in the future.
Damien will be welcomed into Heaven by grandfather Charles Harrison, uncle Lionel Hamilton, cousins Tae’mar Hicks and Trivette Harrison, and beautiful niece, A’myrical Thibodeaux. His memory will be carried on in the hearts of his parents, siblings, and a host of family, friends, and assorted lives he touched. May God continually bless his family, Ke’Asia, Kyrin, and London.
