Curtis “Marcelo” Uribe was born on December 25, 1954 and received his wings on Monday, the 23rd of March 2020, at the age of 65.
Curtis was born and raised in Houston, Texas. As a young adult, he moved to Alhambra, California. While living there, his first daughter Naomi was born. After spending over a decade in California, making lifelong friends and memories, Curtis decided to move back to Houston to be closer to family. Shortly after, his second daughter Christina was born. Curtis dedicated most of his professional life to the Omni Houston Hotel where he made many great friends and memories with everyone he met, including many celebrities. You were always greeted with his big beautiful smile that lit up the room.
Curtis was a loving, caring, and dedicated father, grandfather, brother, and son. He had a kind and giving soul, willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed, and was always telling jokes to make you laugh. Curtis loved traveling, finding good deals, movies, and sports. He was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys ✮. He was also an avid reader and gym goer. His best time spent was with his daughters that he loved and adored. Curtis will always be deeply missed and forever loved.
Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Julio Uribe.
He is survived by his daughters: Naomi Uribe-Gomez & husband Frank Gomez, Christina Uribe
Grandchildren: Jaylyn, Adrian, Andrew, Jacob
Mother: Olivia Uribe
Siblings: Alfredo & wife Maricel Uribe, Blanche & husband Allan Tarwater, Eddie & wife Margarita Uribe
Nephews & Nieces: Eddie Uribe Jr., Theresita Uribe, Kristie Uribe, Jennifer Uribe, Justin U. Tarwater, Isaac Uribe

Along with many other family members and friends.
Due to the current gathering restrictions, a memorial service for Curtis will be scheduled at a later date where all are welcome to attend to celebrate his wonderful life.
