Cora Mary Taylor

She is preceded in death by her husband, John (Pat) Taylor, mother Cora Hafernick Veselka, father Johnnie Veselka; son Richard Taylor; brothers Elo Veselka, Leroy Veselka; sisters Celestine Darilek, Earline Hoffman; great-grandchild Nathan Michalsky.

Cora is survived by her daughter, Annette Sheffield and husband Glenn; son James Taylor; daughter Mary Michalsky and husband Johnie; daughter Angela Dickinson, 10 grandchildren, 9 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Cora grew up in Fayetteville, Texas and moved to Baytown, Texas after graduating at Fayetteville High School. She went to Lee College where she met the love of her life, they married August 24, 1946. They had 5 children to their union.

She was a member of St Mark’s Church for many years. She was very involved as a member of Daughters of the King, Altar Guild and the choir.

Cora loved her family and she loved POLKA dance. Most of all Cora was a beautiful, loving person inside and out. She will be truly missed by all.

A visitation for Cora will be Friday December 16, 2022 from 6pm-8pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home 12800 Westheimer Rd. Houston, Texas 77077. A funeral Service will be held December 17, 2022 11am at St Mark's Episcopal Church 3816 Bellaire Blvd. Houston, Texas 77025.
