Mr. Conrad Wilson was born in Houston, Texas on February 23, 1955 to the parentage of Nelson and Eva Wilson. As a child, Conrad was educated in the Houston Independent School District. He had a passion for music and taught himself to play the bass guitar and keyboard. In the earlier part of his life he often wrote songs, recorded music and was a member of a band. He was once an avid fisherman and would often take trips out to his favorite fishing spot in Galveston, Texas; returning with plenty of Red, Drum and Catfish to share. As a young man in his spare time, he enjoyed flying remote control airplanes, attending professional wrestling events with his father and he could never resist his mother’s homemade fried chicken. High-spirited and funny, he was very much a joker; well known by his family and friends for his hilarious wise cracks. Conrad was a dedicated worker and spent the first 25 years of his professional career working for the City of Houston; starting out as a Parks and Recreation employee and working his way up to a Supervisor role. After obtaining his CDL, he was employed by Best Redi-Mix Concrete Supplier and worked as a Truck Driver for over 10 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Nelson Wilson; mother, Eva Washington Wilson; brothers, Nelson Wilson, Jr., Donnie Wilson and Calvin Wilson; sister, Rosemary Latour; brother-in-law, Ray Latour; nephews Ray Latour, Jr. and Calvin Latour. Those left to cherish his memories are: one brother, Earvin Wilson; one sister, Carolyn Wilson Lewis; one brother-in-law, Joseph Lewis; one sister-in-law, Elanor Wilson; nieces, Gwendolyn Lavergne, Elisha Jones and husband (Tommy), LaTonya Latour, Moniece Butler, Jerea Hymon and husband (Velerian), Jennifer McHenry, Tameca Latour and Olivia Lewis; nephews, Donnie Wilson, Jr. and wife (Deborah), Steverson McHenry and wife (Cassandra), James Lewis and Lance Lewis; one uncle, Herbert Washington and wife (Lucy); one aunt, Lillian Ann White; a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
