Concepcion Rodriguez, age 81, of Richmond, TX, passed away on October 5th, 2024. She was born in Refugio, TX on December 8, 1942, to parents Maxamino and Guadalupe Mata. Concepcion graduated from Woodsboro High School. She was married to Prudencio Rodriguez for 61 years.
Concepcion worked for the United States Postal Service as a clerk for 32 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Del Webb Lakehouse. She had a passion for cooking, reading, seeing plays, and bingo. Her biggest joy in life was being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is Survived by her children, Melissa Rodriguez, Orlando Rodriguez (Amy), Victor Rodriguez (Jennifer), and Carlos Rodriguez. Her grandchildren Jessie Fitzpatrick (Logan), Alyssa Rodriguez, and Antonio Rodriguez. And her great-grandchildren, Auburn Fitzpatrick, Easton Fitzpatrick, Brooklyn Brewer, and Lainey Laskoskie. She is also survived by her siblings, Ramona Saeger, Mattie Ontiveros, and Cristy Mata-Niemann.
There will be a viewing at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Saturday November 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
