"Chung was born on November 20, 1938 in Taipei, Taiwan to Dr. Zhu Qi Wang and Tze-O Wang. He received his medical degree from Kaohsiung Medical University and practiced Obstetric and Gynecology in Banqiao, Taiwan for 25 years. He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1983 and resided in Houston, Texas since.
Chung had a passion for classical music. He had a vast knowledge of opera and had a large collection of classical music from various eras. He also had love for all things culinary, from preparing meals for his family to experimenting with different cuisines. He enjoyed traveling as well, having travelled to Europe, Mexico, Japan, mainland China, Alaska, Hawaii, and across the US. Mostly, he was passionate about his family. He assisted in education of several family members and was instrumental in inspiring his son becoming a physician. He was a loving husband, great father, wonderful grandfather, and a generous provider for his family.
Chung was preceded in death by his father and mother, his two older brothers, and his wife, Shu Yun Wang. He is survived by his sister Mei, his younger brother Zhi Yi, his son Jeff, his daughter-in-law Jennifer, and his only grandson Riley. A Graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Memorial Oaks Cemetery , 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston Texas at 10 o’clock AM. "
