Christopher "Chris" Napolean Dixon was born on July 17, 1975 in Houston, Texas during the union of Jeanette Dixon-Byrd and Ozell Dixon. At a young age Chris had the ambition to play football. Although that ambition was never fulfilled, Chris never gave up on the game. If you truly knew Chris, you knew he was a Dallas Cowboy "groupie", win or lose, he stayed forever "True Blue". With the love of his parents, Chris grew into an ambitious and dedicated young man. Chris was always surrounded by love, family and friends. All those that were blessed to have Chris as a fixture in their lives, came to know him as a "gentle giant." When Chris smiled, he could light up New York Times Square. When Chris laughed, he could shake a house. Chris was never a selfish man, if he "could", he "would", without a second thought. Although Chris often shielded his tender side, he definitely had one when it came to family and those close to him. On June 12, 2015, God requested that Chris meet with him at the gate of his home at a specific time and which Chris could not refuse the invitation. Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Jeanette Dixon-Byrd of Houston, Texas; Ozell (Paula) Dixon of Houston, Texas; his brother Kenneth D. Byrd of Houston, Texas; his sisters, Stephanie Y. Dixon of Killeen, Texas; Kenya Samuel of Houston, Texas; and Tiffanee C. Dixon of Houston, Texas; nephews, Kenneth Byrd, Jr., Jordan Russell Byrd and Tyrone Haake Byrd, all of Germany, Daelan Deshun Howard of Houston, Texas; nieces, Kristane N. Samuel, Alexiuia A. Samuel, Paula K. Butler, Lakendera B. Samuel of Houston, Texas, Shaniqua Janai Dixon and Thai Brianne Dixon of Killeen, Texas; great newphew, Jaden D. Johnson of Killeen, Texas, as well as a host of cousins, uncles, aunts and dear friends. Services for Christopher will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015, with a viewing beginning at 9:00 am. The Life Celebration will follow at 11:00am. Both to be held in The Garden of Hope Chapel of Paradise Funeral Home. Rev. Calvin Hobley, Jr., Officiating Interment: Paradise Cemetery North
