Christina Lillian Pohl, aka Tita, was born on February 26, 1996 and went to join the Lord much too soon on August 12, 2022. With many hopes and plans for the future, she was not ready to leave us, her family and the countless friends whose lives she touched along the way. Christina attended Memorial High School and Archway Academy, but her favorite times were at Camp Longhorn which she attended every year from the age of 7 and was voted Camp Favorite her first year of camping. Christina loved attending Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and was a life long member of St. Cecilia Church where she was baptized and confirmed. Tita was tiny, but with a mighty presence that filled any room she entered.
Christina had grown into a woman with such grace. Strikingly beautiful, her real beauty stood out because it emanated from her bright light within. Family and friends were the center of her life, and her love for them knew no bounds. She loved her older brother Spencer so much she used to wear basketball shorts to school just to be like him. Her love for her cousins, Maggie and Abby was endless and the four of them were more like siblings. She and Abby got into endless trouble together.
Christina never met a baby or an animal she didn’t love. She gave her whole heart to every interaction and always left people better off than when she found them. She gave her all to her job at Lifetime where she was the “heartbeat” of her team and truly loved her teammates
Tita is survived by her parents, Bob and Susan Pohl, her beloved brother Spencer, cousins/sisters Margaret and Abigail Albritton, her aunt and uncle Mary Louise and Robert Albritton, uncle and aunt David and Michelle Pohl, cousin Ryan Pohl, uncle and aunt Mark and Lynda Pohl, cousins Taylor, Addison, Madeleine and Grace Pohl. She is greeted in Heaven by both sets of grandparents and her Uncle Craig Tennyson.
A Rosary will be held in her honor and memory, on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1505 Kane Street 77007. The funeral mass will occur on Thursday, August 18 at 10 a.m., also at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the capital campaign at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1505 Kane Street, Houston, TX 77007, one of Tita’s happy places.
