Chris worked in the motorcycle industry for 27 years as a certified master technician.
Chris lived and breathed watersports, motorcycles, and all things outdoors. He cherished teaching his son Zach to ride a motorcycle in the backyard at age 3; never tired of working on his son’s motorcycles or watching him race competitively over the years. He enjoyed traveling with his family; touring Alaska and sailing the British Virgin Islands being two of his favorites. He was the consummate animal lover! Most will remember his dogs Chewy, Wilson, and Harley who were all absolute members of the family. He reveled in cooking. He could often be found cheffing it up in the kitchen, or grilling out back for family and friends. He fancied himself a pepper connoisseur….the hotter the better. He and wife Tracie had quite the backyard pepper garden.
Chris is preceded in death by his sister, Terri Lyn Reed. He is survived by his wife Tracie Lynn Reed; son, Zachary Tyler Reed; daughter Adriana McGill; step-son Chase McGill; parents, Marilyn Reed and Jerry Reed; brother Craig Reed; niece & nephew, Faith Reed and Javier Trujillo; uncles, Leon (El Rey) Reed, Joe Brookman & wife Pat; cousins, Lee Brookman and Eric Brookman.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 10 AM – 12 PM in the chapel of Heights Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12 PM.
