Charles Lattimore Gray was born March 27, 1957, in Houston TX to Oscar Lee and Lucy Mayes Gray. He grew up in the Trinity Garden Church of Christ under the leadership of the late M.C. Daniels Sr. Charles was a proud graduate of Forest Brook High School Class of 1975. He continued to stay in close contact with his classmates. After graduation, Charles enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Heavy Wheeled Driver later to become a Diesel Mechanic and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. Upon his return to the states, he was stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey and Fort Hood, Texas where he retired as Staff Sergeant after 28 years of service in Pflugerville Texas. Upon retiring from the military Charles worked at Capital Metro in Austin, Tx for 30 years, as a Diesel Mechanic. During that time, he received certification in Computer Science, Commercial Driving and Computer Repair. Charles used all his training, education and experience to advise others in there day to day lives as a great mentor and leader.
Charles met, loved and married Nichole Gray on April 8, 2008. Charles spent every minute he could helping others whether they were family, friend or acquaintance. Charles liked to take on projects at his house from remodeling inside to manicuring the outside. Charles loved to play dominos and research his family lineage. He was a loving husband and father to his family.
Charles was a proud member of Nubian Kruzers United MC Round Rock Chapter, where he held the officer of treasury position. Ol Skool focused on funds accountability, community service, veteran outreach, brotherhood and enjoyment of riding. NKU4Ever.
Charles departed from us on 15 July 2022, at his home. He was preceded in death by his father Oscar Lee Gray and mother Lucy Gray.
Charles leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Nichole Gray, daughters Latonji Ford, Aurielle Johnson, Destini Washington, sons Dynell Lane, Nicholas Washington and Markell Lane, grandson Desean Gray-Biggs. His 5 siblings Roger Mayes, Beverly Gambrell (Clyde), Cynthia Daniels (Timothy), Rozella Lewis (Freddie) and Calvin Gray. His uncles and aunts Paul & Mary Mayfield, Robert Mayes (Delinda) Eugene Mayes (Alvina), In-Laws Norris & Sharon Ray and Vern Mcelveen. A host of nieces, nephew, family, brothers in arms, brothers on twos and friends. Charles will be missed and loved by all.
