Charles was an Amateur Radio Operator, WA5FMK (HAM) and a member of the Pipe Fitters Local Union #211. For many years he was employed at Texas Pipe Benders as a welder and fabricator. Charles worked on many historical projects including The Houston Astrodome, known as “The Eighth Wonder of the World”, and The Houston Gulf Building, which is now known as the J. P. Morgan Chase Building.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Agnes Sophie (Kubecka) Ellisor, and his parents, Charlie Russell and Irene Maudie (Henry) Ellisor.
Charles was a man of indomitable courage and fearlessness for what he believed to be right. He detested semblance of false show or hypocrisy – he was plain spoken, and his expressions were honest and genuine. When he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, he refused to allow it to be a hindrance to how he lived his life.
The legacy Charles has left behind is one that can truly only be described as divine. His faith guided him throughout his life’s journeys. He praised God for the opportunities he was given and always passed any blessings along to those who may have needed them more than himself.
