

Charles Joseph Dailey, Jr., age 71, died unexpectedly on Sunday, the 7th of February 2010. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on the 21st of November 1938 and was preceded in death by his parents, the late Charles Joseph Dailey Sr. and Sammy Nay Dailey.
Joe is survived by his wife Lynda Green Dailey. He is also survived by his daughter Mary Elizabeth Strom and husband Joe, son Charles Joseph Dailey III and companion Tracy Thomas; and grandchildren, Charles Ashton Dailey, Casey Strom, and Kris Strom. Joe is also survived by his sister, Patricia Gayle Nelson and husband Bernard of San Antonio and stepchildren, Tyson Younger Green, Mark Green and wife Maria, and Kelli Lynn Erwin.
Joe was well known as the owner of the Dailey’s Liquor Stores in Houston and for the last few years was associated with Spec’s Liquors. He was a longtime member and past director of the Texas Package Store Association. He was a Lifetime Director of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and a past member of Wagon 4. Joe was also a 21 year member and past Vice President and Director of the Tejas Vaqueros.
A memorial service is to be conducted at three o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 9th of February, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where Rev. Gary Garrison of Second Baptist Church in Huntsville, Texas, is to officiate.
