I just wanted to add an old photo I found from our chat logs forever ago. You were showing off your hat and you said you thought you looked good. 
You did. You looked great in the hat. 
I have been thinking a lot about you since I received the news… you always told others never to underestimate me because I’ve endured worse than whatever others were trying to get me to not do. 
What I’d do for one last good conversation with you. 
Thank you for everything, César. I bet you’re watching from whatever possible afterlife there could be. I hope you see how many people love you.  
I wonder all the time if you had kept my postcard. Last time you had sent the photo of you with it it was 2022.

To the Ramos Family,

Cesar was in our group of friends who connected and grew up together, bonding initially over an online game called "Pirates of the Caribbean Online". Even after that game shut down, we remained all remained in contact over the past 10 years. We wrote stories together, continued playing games, but more often than not just had fun talking and enjoying each others' company. Cesar became a beloved part of our friend group and is a dear friend to so many of us. His genuine, fierce attitude and the kindness he showed towards everyone in our group left a lasting impression on each of us.

Countless memories, games played, laughter had, arguments fought, hardships shared. We never met in real life, but our group of friends have been very, very tightly knit since 2011, and we've grown up together. We were there for each other throughout our adolescence, and looking back on that time with this newfound realization that Cesar is no longer with us is going to take some getting used to.

Although we never met in person, Cesar’s presence had a profound impact on all of us. Losing him is a void left behind that will never be filled. We want you to know how grateful we are to have known Cesar and how deeply we share in your loss. Thank you for letting us share Cesar with you over the past 10 years, even just for a little while. We vow to keep him in our hearts forever.

Cesar, I wish I had the words to express how I felt when I heard you were no longer with us. You were a good friend with a good heart and kind soul. You loved to make those around you laugh and smile. I remember our late night talks so fondly, lots of laughter and inside jokes. We had a shared love of music and history and it meant so much to me to have someone to share those interests with. I’ll never forget watching you listen to Mac Demarco for the first time and how much you loved his music. It’s hard to believe that our little friend group will never be whole again now that you’re gone. I always hoped one day we would all be together in person. There is so much I could say about you, but I don’t even know where to begin. We will miss you and love you always. Rest easy.

I remember talking on many occasions with you about food, history and so many other things. It’s heartbreaking that the best people always seem to be lost so soon. You were always a good man and you always made an effort to get people to smile. You will be missed and never forgotten.

I cannot believe this news. I had known you for so long… I remember when we were just teenagers in a group chat and we would talk about music and all of your nerdy history knowledge. I always knew when it was close to Taurus season because you’d always make it known it was YOUR time to shine… 
I will miss you always and I hope you know how loved you truly were, and will continue to be.

I’ll miss all of our therapy sessions where you would let me just sit and talk with you for hours with no judge in the world. The imprint you left is something that will stay with me for a life time. Till we meet again friend

I didn’t want it to end this way.

Truthfully? You were The Man. The Goat of Whataburger; One of my favorite managers and people to work with. You were also one of the only people I could bond with over the firearms we owned; That was fun.

We went shooting on September 3rd. That was one of the last times I ever got to see you. It meant a lot to me that you could come out and shoot with us. 

I got to visit you a few days before you left us, I asked about potentially working there again. You seemed perfectly fine, I would have never thought you were in any mental anguish; I wonder what was going though your head at the time.

I'll never get to see you again. There's no talking-about-it, reasoning-about-it or anything. That really hurts the most.

My heart goes out to the family for your great loss. I remember training a young, energetic, respectful young man with a bright future. He was not just a co worker but a friend we talked about his dream car a 350z, boxing, places to eat, his vacation spots like New Orleans and San Antonio. Cesar left his foot prints  by serving thousands of customers and training hundreds of employees. He would always stay to help, come in on his day off, and never missed work once. His work eitic was second to none.  You will be missed my dear friend.
