Cecilia Vasquez Zboral

Cecilia Vasquez Zboral, age 91, of Houston, Texas passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024. She was born on January 14, 1933, in San Gabriel, TX, the daughter of Rosendo and Rita Vasquez. She was a mother, wife, and a sister- the last of eleven siblings.

She is survived by her son Edward Garza and wife Melinda; daughters, Emma Cynthia Obregon and Patricia Sanders and husband Donald; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Cecilia worked as an LVN and is twice retired from the Memorial Hermann system. Her pastimes included gardening, dancing and clogging, travel when she could and she always had a knack to never meet a stranger. When she became a Jehovah’s Witness on July 15, 2015, it was easy for her to share the good news of Jehovah’s Promised Kingdom.

A visitation for Cecilia will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018. A committal service will be at 1:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077.

Pallbearers will be Saul Obregon, David Schlobaum, Ian Carpenter, Travis Garza, Isaac Tripp, and Joshua Obregon.
