Catherine Adams

She confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Mount Olive Baptist Church. Being raised in Doak Springs Community of Lee County. She received her education at the Doak Spring school and later graduated from Snook Colored High School in 1954.

She did house cleaning in her early part of life and continued on to become a Home Health aide. She enjoyed playing dominoes and cheering on the Houston Rockets.

On February 23, 2022, God called her from her earthly labor to sweet rest. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Surry Poole, second husband Curtis Adams, two daughters: Deborah Bell and Karen McCray, two brothers: William Carter, Roosevelt Carter and one sister Lorenia Perry.

Left to carry on her legacy, labor of love and hard work are one daughter Sharon Pool, two sons: Patrick Pool Sr (wife Kimberly Pool) and John Adams (wife Tyrosa Adams) all of Houston, TX,: eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friend

A visitation for Catherine will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. Following the visitation will be a committal service from 12:20 PM to 12:40 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
