Carolyn “Kaki” Garcia Niazi devoted single mom passed away April 29, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.
Born on July 13, 1958 in Houston, TX and raised in Nampa, Idaho, Carolyn graduated from Nampa High School in 1977 after which she returned to Texas.
Carolyn was the life of the party and the official cake decorator of the family. Her love for her family is the legacy she leaves behind.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter Amanda Niazi Olivio, son-in-law Paul Anthony Olivio and siblings, Irene Campos, Lupe Contreras, Ruby Diaz, Dora & Genaro Islas & Family, Inocencio Joe & Hopie Garcia & Family, Marcus & Ester Garcia & Family, Carlos & Bell Garcia, Raymond Garcia, Rosemary Ramos & Family, Mary & Ramiro Acevedo & Family, and The Freddy Garcia Family in Brownfield, Tx.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ramon Rodriguez Garcia and Felicitas Garcia, her brothers Ray Garcia, Richard Garcia, and Freddy Garcia, her niece Syliva Celeste Garcia, nephews Ricardo “Kalo” Islas and Ramon Guadalupe Garcia Jr. and her faithful companion Precious.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM (Rosary from 6:00 – 7:00 PM) at Brookside Funeral Home 13747 Eastex Fwy Houston, TX 77039.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held the following day on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church 2131 Lauder Rd. Houston, TX 77039, burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery.
There are no words that seem adequate enough to say thank you to everyone for their sympathy, thoughts, and prayers. We will forever remember all the kindness shown during our loss.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
