Carolyn was born in Houston, Texas on May 24, 1940 to parents, Jesse D. Moore and Katherine Ada Moore.
She met and married the love of her life Robert A. Hale. Together they had four wonderful children.
Carolyn will be fondly remembered as a loving mother to her four children. She had always been a positive and loving supporter of her family. She instilled the importance of God, family, education and hard work. Carolyn was an excellent cook who perfected her iconic chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with LOTS of butter. She had a special relationship with God and called on him often, mostly to intervene on behalf of one of her kids and grandkids. She lived her life with very few regrets. Some of her passions included spending quality time with her family. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved caring for her home and anyone that came to know her. She found joy in making everyone smile. Her family had several names for her, which included: Great Grandma, Grandma Great, Great, Great Grandma. All who knew her will miss Carolyn dearly.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Katherine Moore and loving husband, Robert A. Hale.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Terry Hale and wife Lori, Kathy Langstraat, Ron Hale, Michael Hale; grandchildren, Jesse Hale and wife Sarah, Josh Hale and wife Angel, Tiffany Hale, Robbie Langstraat and wife Michelle, Sean Langstraat and wife Janine, Savannah Hale, Peyton Hale, Gabriel Hale, Lela Hale; great grandchildren, Fallon, Kallie, Kolten, Kaiden, AJ, Leo, Lyra Hale-Murray, Christian, Caitlyn, Pressley, Emelia; sister, Charlotte Johnson and a host of other family and friends also survive.
A funeral service for Carolyn will be held Monday, March 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038. Following the service, family and friends will gather in the Grand Reception Hall at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, for an Italian lunch reception.
