Carol Hopkins Maddox

Carol H. Maddox, age 81, died peacefully the 16th of August 2012. She is survived by her children, Catherine Marie Cunningham, Gael Cunningham Williams, Richard George Cunningham, Jr. and his wife Adrienne; and by her grandchildren, Raven Wiggins, Coates Cunningham, Miranda Williams and Olivia Williams.

Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family and share remembrances of Carol during a reception from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 24th of August, in the Grand Foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

The memorial service is to be conducted at three o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 25th of August, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, where a longtime family friend, Dr. Greg Davis, Senior Pastor of Zachary United Methodist Church of Louisiana, is to officiate.

Immediately following, all are invited to a celebration of Carol’s life to be held at a location announced during the service.

In honor of Carol’s celebratory lifestyle, the family requests those attending to attire themselves colorfully, festively and comfortably.

Prior to the service, the family will have gathered for an inurnment at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston.

In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in Carol’s memory may be directed to the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 900 Portway Drive, Houston, TX 77024.
