Lovingly known as "Mama Tani", was called Home to reunite and continue her journey with Our Lord and Savior on March 25, 2012.
She worked for 22 years as a Food Service Coordinator with the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
Once retired she continued to devote her time as a volunteer at Holy Cross Chapel.
A devout member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, she also served proudly as a member of the Guadalupanas as well as the choir and Altar and Rosary Society.
Proceeded in death by her husband, Marcus C. Hurtado, PFC U.S. Army.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane C. Morin and husband Steve.
Granddaughters; Debra A. Saenz and Denise M. Samarippa.
6 great- grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and one great- great- great grandson.
Visitation will be held from 5pm to 9pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in The Family Chapel at Forest Park-Lawndale. Rosary service to follow at 7pm.
Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 10am. Interment to follow at Forest Park-Lawndale.
