Mrs. Carmen Elizondo (87), passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016. She was born in Marlin, TX on November 28, 1928 to Juan and Juanita Mata. Carmen is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Juanita Mata, one daughter, Beatriz Elizondo, and her loving husband Florentino Elizondo of 58 wonderful years. Carmen enjoyed a life filled with love spent with her husband, children and their families. She also enjoyed spending her days sewing and cooking. Carmen leaves to cherish her memories, five children: Oralia Olalde, Rosie Morin, Juanita Rugerio, Joe Elizondo, and Francisco Elizondo. She is also survived by numerous Grandchildren, a host of relatives and countless friends. Carmen was truly loved by her family and friends, and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held form 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on Monday, April 2, 2016, with a rosary cited at 7:00pm. The Funeral service will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 03, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church located at 4015 Sherman St. Interment will follow immediately at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
