Camille Ramsay Jackson, 91, of Houston, Texas, passed away on March 3, 2023 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband Bill Jackson, her parents Dorothy and Lawrence Ramsay, and her daughter Julie Jackson Young.
She is survived by her children: Leslie Rollo (Robert) of Houston, TX, Tracy Daniel (Jody) of Boerne, TX, son-in-law Rolfe Young (Julie) of Houston, TX.
Camille was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren: Miles Rollo (Ashley), Erika Sorsby (Kyle), Robert Young (Ruvva), Morgan Stone (Jay) and Jackson Daniel. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren.
Camille was born October 20, 1931, in Houston, TX, the only child to Dorothy and Lawrence Ramsay. She graduated from Lamar High School in 1949. She married her High School sweetheart Bill Jackson April 1953. They settled in the Briargrove Park neighborhood where they raised their three daughters. She was a founding and lifelong member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
Camille enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends, especially to Acapulco and Florida. She lived a very full life and will be missed as a loving and beloved mother, grandmother and friend.
A memorial service to celebrate Camille's life will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 10th, 2023 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 10221 Ella Lee Ln, Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Altus Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
