Brent William "Coggs" Collins, 66, of Houston, Texas, passed away on May 30, 2024 after a 15 month battle with Glioblastoma. Brent grew up in Macon, Illinois and was a man of few words but showed great patience. He was a loving husband, father, and pawpaw to his grandchildren.
Brent was known for his hidden sense of humor that would brighten any moment. He was a master griller who loved cooking different meats on the grill and was always willing to lend a helping hand with any task. Brent was methodically organized and the go-to fixer in his household with three females.
He was a dependable chauffeur, driving his daughter Brittany and wife Reba to countless volleyball tournaments and matches. Brent was also the master swing pusher for his grandchildren, always making sure they had a fun time in the backyard.
Brent is survived by his wife, Reba Kay Collins, daughters Stephanie Rae Pruit and Brittany Nicole Arduini. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Edward Collins, and mother, Patricia Lou Collins. Brent was the oldest of six siblings: Chris Collins, Darin Collins, Paula Semko, Monica Collins, and Todd Collins.
Brent's hobbies included grilling, hunting for hidden treasures at local thrift stores with his wife Reba, and being a dedicated Atlanta Braves baseball fan.
His Celebration of Life service will be held on June 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home,
12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077. The service will be followed by a burial of Brent's ashes and a
reception with light appetizers.
Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home will be assisting with the funeral arrangements for Brent Collins.
