Bobby J. Edwards “BobBob” passed away October 24, 2014 in Katy, Tx. Bobby was born in Farmerville, LA to Jack & Ossie Lou Edwards on October 22, 1924. He married Christine Leake on August 5, 1948 in Farmerville, LA. After his service in the Army from 1943-1946, he graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1949 with a degree in Business.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Christine and daughter, Betty Edwards Owens. He is survived by his Grandchildren, Lauren Fuentes and her husband Tino and Lindsey Owens; Great-Grandchildren, Noah, Zabryna and Audryna Fuentes, and Avery and Dante Johnson; and his dear friends Jo Anne and Buzz Parks of Katy, Tx among many others.
Visitation will take place at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 11:00am until 2:00pm. Graveside service will be held at a later date at Taylor Cemetery in Farmerville, LA. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Betty Edwards Owens Endowment Scholarship, c/o Louisiana Tech University, 305 Wisteria St., Ruston, LA. The family would also like to give a big thank you to all the wonderful neighbors and caregivers for their help and support.
