Bobbie Beatrice Wood, 81, passed away September 25, 2013. She was born July 18, 1932 to Keaton Robert and Katie Lee Daniels. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 30 years, Harold F. Wood; daughter Bobbi Denise Bumpers; and three sisters, Gracie Lee Scott, Joyce Gentry and Cathy Kocian.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny L. Blau and David G. Blau, and sister, Margaret Jackson, who provided dedicated care and comfort throughout the last days of her life; she is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Bobbie, affectionately known to friends and family as “Doodle” since her childhood, had a wide circle of friends. Doodle and Harold were known for their prowess on the dance floor, and she continued to enjoy dancing and socializing with her numerous friends at the Porter and Cleveland, Texas VFWs up until her illness prevented it.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday, September 30, 2013 at Brookside Family Chapel with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
