Billie Jean Legg went to be with the Lord on August 16, 2016. She was born on March 21, 1929 in Greenville, Texas to parents Manuel "Gene" and Edna Watson. Billie worked as an Office Manager. Billie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jessie Legg Sr. of 63 years; son, Vernon Legg Sr.; granddaughter, Debra R. Brady; and siblings, Bobbye Coffer, Reggie Hales and J.W. Watson. She is survived by her two children, Dale Legg and wife Lanelle, Jessie Legg Jr.; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth Legg, Vickie Legg, Vernon Legg Jr., Dale Legg Jr., Daryl Legg and wife Ashley, Dayla Legg, Denise Long and husband Kevin, Tammy Maley and husband John, David McKinley and wife Sherry; twelve great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, August 22, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and a Funeral Service Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
