Betty was the only child of Harvey and Veora Anderson. She moved to Houston at the age of seven where she attended Crockett Elementary, Hogg Junior High and Reagan High School. She started her career with Southwestern Bell. Betty married in 1960 and moved back to Los Angeles, California for twelve years returning to Houston with her daughter Sharon in 1972. She enjoyed working at Browning-Ferris Industries, Gray Tool Company and retired from Lockwood, Andrews and Newnam in 2007. Betty's interest were her rose garden, singing, dancing, theater, fashion and travel. She was a genuine friend and great listener. Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Veora Anderson. And her special cousins Lu Welch and Donna Asmussen.
She is survived by her only child and loving daughter Sharon Lynn Staats and her husband Frank George Staats, loving grandchildren Sheridan Adriana Staats, Adrianna Milan Staats and Harrison Carter Staast. And her dear lifelong friends Beverly Battaglia, Jean Salib and Vi Smith. Betty will be dearly missed by all - our love for her will continue until the end of time.
