Betty Jean Harris, 65, was called home to Christ on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. Betty was born April 1, 1954, in Houston, Texas to Alfonso “Al” and Nora Mendoza. To know Betty was to love Betty. She was passionate about her family; she lived for her children and grandchildren and was a second Mom to many. She loved her dogs, bargain hunting and reading. Her strength, beauty, wit and spirit were unmatched.
She is survived by her daughter, Natalie Spurdis Harris, sons; Nicholas Spurdis and his wife Kassandra, and Joshua Spurdis Harris, mother; Nora Mendoza, sister; Evonn Ellis, brother; John Mendoza, grandson; Colson Spurdis and granddaughter; Piper Spurdis.
The family takes great comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her beloved husband, Nick, and her father, Al, in heaven.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, December 22, 5pm – 8pm at the Heights Funeral Home. Funeral is scheduled for Monday, 1:30pm at Heights Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
