Ben was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents, Walter and Rosabelle Norman; sisters: Jean (Robert) Mabie, Joann (Aubrey) Fox, and Peggy Pendergast and husband Nolan; brother, Don.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his youngest brother, Charlie and wife Trudy; sister in law, Margaret; nieces: Lora (Dan) Rhodes Tami (Bryan) Tacker; nephews, Steven Norman, Don Norman Jr , Jim Norman, Jerry (Wendy) Norman and great nieces and nephews; along with other loving family and friends.
Sergeant Norman joined the Houston Police Department on December 29, 1958, Academy Class #20. During his career with the department, he was assigned to the Central Division, Burglary and Theft Division and the Major Offenders Division until his retirement on September 10, 2016.
