Barbara Ann Vivian was born in Garrison, Texas on February 27, 1937 to Lela Lacey Jenkins-Tindall and William Monroe Tindall. She entered Heaven’s gates on October 5, 2015 after her valiant fight with Parkinson’s. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through her 9 year struggle.
Of all her accomplishments, Barbara’s greatest achievements have been in the lives of her family and friends. She had a unique gift to recognize and appreciate the talents in others and to make them feel loved and lifted by her presence. Her creative mind, kind heart and brilliant smile allowed her to make everything shine; from giving a simple hair cut in her salon, to dancing the waltz with her beloved husband, to a simple story told to the grandchildren and especially to her wonderful cooking. Her generous heart filled her home with love, fun, family and friends, with the mindset that there was always room for one more. She leaves all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with the assurance that they were truly loved.
