Barbara Tidwell Stone

Barbara is survived by her brother, Rex Tidwell, two children, Lisa Stone, David Stone and Wife Dana; two grandchildren, Alex and Sarah. Multiple nephews, cousins, and 2 great nieces, Sarah, and Kate.

Barbara was born on May 29, 1937 in Corpus Christie, Texas to Rex and Ruth Tidwell.

She was dedicated to the Memorial Hospital System, where she ran their volunteer program until her retirement. Barbara loved volunteering and was passionate about her ministry in Daughters of the King, Stephen Ministry, and the Blue Bird Circle. She was an active and dedicated member of Saint Martins Episcopal Church while living in Houston, Texas, and then at Saint Georges Episcopal Church in San Antonio, Texas.

A visitation is scheduled for 6pm-8pm on January 23, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Funeral home; 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079. A funeral is scheduled for January 24, 2015 at 3pm, also at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Burial and reception to follow.
