Aubrey attended primary schools in San Antonio and Houston, Texas, and graduated from Spring Branch High School in Houston. She was a talented writer and attended San Jacinto College in her pursuits to become a journalist. Aubrey was a beloved mother to three sons and did her utmost to raise them with a love of humankind and an appreciation for all things related to art, music and our natural world. Aubrey was especially proud of her Texan heritage and touted all things Texas. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles and was especially talented in sketching, oil painting and miniature arts & crafts. She and husband Wynn were members of Saint James the Apostle Episcopalian Church in Conroe, Texas, for many years.
Aubrey is preceded in death by her mother Ora Hansel Willford Hester, father Ray Wilburn Hester, husband Wynn Monroe Estes and son, Bruce Edward Estes.
She is survived by son Steven Estes and wife Jan of The Woodlands, Texas, son Barry Estes and wife Judy of Conroe, Texas, granddaughter Heather Estes and great-granddaughter Rylan of New Hope, Pennsylvania, granddaughter Whitney Estes of Prosper, Texas, grandson Ian Estes of The Woodlands, Texas, grandson Chance Estes of San Antonio, Texas and granddaughter Blakeley Estes of The Woodlands, Texas.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, November 23, 2020 from 10:30 am until 11:30 am at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024 with the graveside service following at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, Texas 77055.
