Arthur Z. Martinez, age 84, of Houston, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. He was born in Houston, Texas on July 1, 1938. He married the love of his life Josephine Zapata on June 2, 1963. Arthur worked as a forklift mechanic for Grocer’s Supply but he was a master of all trades. He was a member of United States Army, and has a passion for exercising and staying busy doing yard work, fixing things around his home. His true passion was his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Josephine Martinez; son, Arthur Martinez Jr.; daughter, Cynthia Rios and late husband Don Rios; grandchildren, Erika Leach and husband Tyler Leach, Lauren Martinez, Madyson Martinez, Phillip Rios and Lia Zahoruiko, Krystin Rios, Savannah Rios, and Gabriela Rios; great grandsons Bowen and Gunnar Leach; sisters, Irene Quijano and Rosie Reyes, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be held at St. Mary Magdalene on Tuesday January 17, 2023 at 11:00 am.
