Pete was preceded in death by his wife Anyes, his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law Nathalie and Tyree Brown, Lea and Terry Lowry; his brother and sisters Willie Brumfield, Mamie Shipp and Ida Bland; grandchildren Leticia and Davide Secci, Alexander and Watinee Brown, Catherine and Conor O’Neill, Dominique Lowry and Eli Serna, Angela and Travis Huntoon, Terry Lowry Jr., Amber and Tyrone Lindsay; and his great grandchildren Saya Brown, Giovanni and Angelo Secci.
Pete joined the U.S. Air Force in 1953 right out of high school and worked as an aircraft mechanic on the F-101 Voodoo and F-4 Phantom II. While stationed at Laon Air Force Base, France, he met the love of his life. Pete and Anyes were married on August 13, 1959 in Reims. Together they traveled the world. After retiring from the Air Force in 1973, he worked in air conditioning and refrigeration for 7-Eleven. He eventually franchised his own 7-Eleven in Long Beach, CA. Later, Pete and Anyes moved to Colorado Springs, CO where he worked part-time at Autozone. He finally retired in 2009 and the two made their way to Texas.
Pete loved reading and gardening. He bowled in a senior league in Pearland for several years and was a weekly bingo and poker player.
